After 20 years of research, it is proved that men and women experience diseases differently and how they respond to diseases. For example Alzheimer's is rumored to be ruled majority of women, with almost 2/3rds of patients being women. Research has shown that this is indeed true because the hormones, that the ovarian decline has a great deal to due with this. How are they treating people differently? They are treating women and men the same based on clinical trials to see the severity of the symptoms and how it worsens or gets better. Another fascinating addiction is nicotine. Women are more prone to get addicted to nicotine as men are. Because these theories are not yet "proven" and still are undergo research, the gender biased approach is not yet the common view.
