School Bans Confederate Flag Symbols from Vehicles

In Virginia, a school bans all symbols of confederate flags on cars parking in school parking lots. Three students who did not follow this, were sent to the principals and were threatened with suspension. The schools states, " “vehicles must be free from displaying any flags or symbols that are deemed offensive to any race, religion, ethnic group, or sexual orientation.”- Christiansburg School. I think that yes, I am not in support of the representation of the flag, but also I think its violating peoples basic rights. If people want to believe in a certain religion, people can't tell them they cant, just like having a sticker on your car, society can't tell you that you cannot put your beliefs visibly. The schools states that the reason for this is to bring parking requirements in line with dress code and for locker demands. Schools are now requiring a contract, that says you can't have offensive stickers, flags or logos visible that could offend anyone. I agree with this, but I don't know where the school is crossing the line in enforcing this.
